Getting rid of fear was like everything else challenging. I had to tell myself to not entertain fear and to tell fear it was not my friend and that it was never going to stop me from moving and from living. Fear will stop you from moving if you are not careful. I wanted, and still want, progress in my life and I knew I had to get rid of fear first for me to hear the Lord and for me to obey His voice. Fear would always make me feel small and never able to do anything by always asking me questions like, what if it doesn’t work out?

What if you fail and people find out, you’ll be a joke? What ifs that never ended until I realised the trick was to make me scared and not want to try anything. The trick was to destroy me and make me accept who I was not. I was created for great things and fear wanted me to not believe this about me and I refuse to let fear control me.
